BBA-100
Basic Motorcycle Alarm
The BBA-100 is designed to lower the cost of theft protection for motorcycles. It’s designed and manufactured in SA using freely available components. Microprocessor technology makes it very compact, being slightly smaller than a cigarette packet. Installation requires the connection of only TWO wires to the bike. It can be installed by someone with little knowledge of a motorcycles electrical system and is well suited to older bikes.
Note: The alarm isn’t VESA approved
How does it work?
The BBA-100 uses a movement sensor to detect movement; this method makes the alarm very cost effective, and immune to false alarms. It is mounted out of sight yet within easy reach to arm and disarm. It’s armed via a secret push button or key switch.
Once armed, if any slight movement is detected the siren will “chirp”. Should the movement continue the alarm is triggered and the siren sounds continually for approx 120sec.
After 120sec the siren stops and the alarm is reset. If the alarm was triggered, its status LED will flash approx twice per sec to indicate it had been triggered.
The movement sensor is built into the alarm, the alarm can be mounted in any position.
