Product Warranty And Returns Policy
Product Warranty
Coverage Old Dog Electronics warrants to the original purchaser that its products are free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of one (1) year from the date of installation. Auxiliary devices not manufactured by Old Dog Electronics (e.g., sirens) are covered for six (6) months from the date of purchase.
Repair or Replacement During the warranty period, Old Dog Electronics will, at its discretion, repair or replace any component found to be defective under normal installation, use, and service. Products must be returned to the dealer from which they were purchased.
Proof of Purchase All warranty claims must be accompanied by a copy of the original purchase receipt showing date and price.
Shipping Responsibility Customers are responsible for shipping defective products to Old Dog Electronics.
Exclusions This warranty does not cover damage caused by misuse, abuse, neglect, accidents, incorrect wiring, improper installation, tampering with or removal of serial numbers, or unauthorized repairs or modifications.
Limitations Warranty coverage is limited to defective parts only. Old Dog Electronics is not liable for incidental or consequential damages.
No Insurance Guarantee This warranty does not cover theft or loss and must not be interpreted as an insurance policy.
Policy Changes Old Dog Electronics reserves the right to amend this warranty policy at any time without prior notice.
Returns and Refunds
Old Dog Electronics processes returns and refunds in accordance with the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008, the Electronic Communications Act No. 36 of 2005, and the following policy:
All returns must be initiated via email to oldddogelectronicsza@google.com.
Each return will follow our documented procedure to ensure a smooth and transparent process.
Unwanted Products
You may return an unwanted product at no charge provided that:
It is unused, undamaged, and still has all original labels and stickers attached.
It is in its original, undamaged packaging with all seals intact (if applicable).
No accessories or parts are missing.
You cover the return shipping costs.
You log the return with olddogelectronics@gmail.com within 7 days of delivery or collection.
After 7 days, returns are only accepted if the product is defective.
Shipping Policies
Local Shipping
Orders are dispatched within 1–2 business days of payment, subject to availability.
Delivery times vary by location and service selected. Using PAXI, typical delivery times are 3–5 or 7–9 working days.
Overnight shipping is available only on working days.
While we strive for timely delivery, Old Dog Electronics is not liable for delays or related losses.
Customers will be charged according to our current delivery pricing structure, which may change without prior notice.
Once shipped, you will receive an email with tracking and delivery details.
International Shipping
International shipping fees are provided on quotation.
Customers are responsible for all customs clearance, duties, and fees.
Old Dog Electronics is not liable for any loss or damage arising from customs processes.
Orders are shipped with a full value declaration and complete packing list.
