BCA-100B Basic Car Alarm

The BCA-100B Basic Car Alarm is designed to deliver maximum security with minimum fuss. Built for simplicity, reliability, and owner-friendly installation, it offers peace of mind without unnecessary complexity.

Note: The alarm is not VESA approved.

How does it work?

The alarm uses a radar module to detect movement inside the vehicle . The microprocessor monitors the radar

module, controls entry and exit delay’s, and prevents false alarms.

When switched on, the alarm has a 10sec exit delay for all the doors to be closed before arming.

The alarm continually checks for movement plus the bonnet and boot (if the switches are installed).

Should the bonnet, boot, be opened whilst the alarm is armed, the siren will sound immediately for 120sec after 120sec,the alarm will reset.

When a door is opened, the alarm is triggered but has a 4sec entry delay before the siren sounds. If the alarm isn’t disabled within the entry delay period, the siren will sound for 120sec. After the 120sec, the alarm will reset if no further movement is detected. The alarm will indicate it has been triggered by the status LED flashing approx twice per second.

Why no remote to arm / disarm the alarm ?
Our mission is to produce an alarm which is simple to install and use.
Adding a remote would considerably increase the cost.
Integrating the alarm into the cars electrics would make the installation far more difficult.
Lastly, by not using a remote will make the alarm 100% immune to jamming.

How can the alarm use radar to detect an intrusion ?
The BCA-100 uses a small radar module to detect movement within a car. As it uses a radio signal, the alarm can be hidden behind plastic covers in the car.

How does the bonnet switch help me ?
Should the bonnet be forced open to steal the battery or engine parts, the alarm will trigger instantly. The switch is an optional extra yet vey easy to install. It requires a single wire from the
switch to terminal 5 on the alarm.
If the bonnet switch isn't used, terminal 5 can be left unconnected.
During the exit delay period, the alarm checks the status of the bonnet switch. if it detects the bonnet is open, the alarm chirps continually as a warning.
